Diabetic cat ordered euthanized!

FAMILY WANTS THEIR DIABETIC CAT
EUTHANIZED RATHER THAN GIVE HER INSULIN SHOT!

S.P.A. has been paying for her medical tests
and for her boarding but we can't continue to
do so. We are a small group and I personally care for 42 cats each day in a shelter built on our property by my husband and taken care of by me. The cats I care for live in a very clean, heated/cooled environment that is kept in immaculate condition. I spend 3 hours each day caring for these cats/kittens.

I CAN'T TAKE ON ONE MORE CAT!

We have never had to have an animal euthanized, but I can't seem to find ANYONE willing to give this sweet girl a chance. Read original post below:

Someone took their 4 - 5 year old cat to the vet's office because she was drinking excessively and urinating too often.

They called her Fatty. I have changed her name to Suzette.

When their cat tested positive for sugar diabetes, they said to euthanize her, as they, "didn't want to mess around giving insulin shots."

She is a 23 pound sweetie pie and once she receives insulin shot 2 x a day (which is VERY inexpensive) she will be perfectly fine. (And if she loses weight, she may be able to discontinue with the insulin shots).

I don't want this sweet girl to die just because she has sugar diabetes, so I asked the vet to give me just a few days to see if someone out there might be interested in giving this special needs girl a second chance at life.

She is declawed on all four (uggghhhhhh!) and will need to be an inside only cat. We will have all of her shots updated (and will have her retested for feline leukemia/fiv) if we can find a loving home for her.

I am hoping that Suzette has a special angel out  there somewhere!
