NELSON & ARLENE

Nelson

He got  his wings August 03, 2001

Born on  July 7, 1991, Nelson came into our lives when he was just 2 months old, a small ball of white fluff, with a sweet personality and loving heart.
He was Quincey's best bud.

Where Quincey had a mind of his own and did things in his own sweet time, Nelson was the cuddler...he slept on the top of my head like a hat for the longest time and always sat beside me in my chair.

When Quincey became blind from the Diabetes, Nelson looked after him, he seemed to know that Quincey needed protection, and protect him he did.

After Quincey passed away, I took Nelson to have his teeth cleaned, and the vet pulled two molars from the left side of his mouth, that he said looked infected, but unfortunately it wasn't infection, it was squamous cell cancer.  Every time someone told me of a herb or such  I pushed it down his throat and the poor little guy never complained, just took all I did to him, but the cancer was too far along, and I couldn't stop the spreading.  It gradually spread to the front of his mouth, all along the gum line and he had trouble eating.  He developed a tumor behind his left eye, and when it became apparent that he was not enjoying his life and could no long see out of his left eye, I let him go to the Bridge to be with his buddy Quincey.

Such a sweet precious boy that is missed greatly.
